Supporting Our Veterans

Each November, we celebrate Veterans Day as a nation. During this time, we have the opportunity to honor all those who served in the United States Armed Forces. This year, WR’s Community Involvement Committee donated to the Gary Sinise Foundation on behalf of all the veterans currently working at WR.

The Gary Sinise Foundation serves our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need. They do this by creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities. Through programs such as R.I.S.E., the foundation constructs specially adapted smart homes for our nation’s most severely wounded heroes. These 100% mortgage-free homes ease the daily challenges these heroes and their families who sacrifice alongside them face. In addition, they provide home modifications, mobility devices, and adapted vehicles to improve these veterans’ way of life. This is just one of many programs designed to improve the lives of those who faithfully served our nation courageously.
