Supporting the Fleet

Meet Virginialynn, one of WR’s technicians working to build and develop our navigation equipment to support the fleet and our customers.

Virginialynn began her career in the Navy, enlisting in 2011, and serving as an electronics technician for six years. After speaking to a Navy recruiter about new challenges in her field, she began working in the advanced electronics computer field (AECF). Her first Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) was for the Precision Approach Radar, followed by AN/WSN-7 and the Tactical Air Navigation System (TACAN). Over the past four years, Virginialynn has had the opportunity to continue to support the fleet as a technician for WR. From building cable kits, to doing installs with her work family, her continued support of our nation’s military provides her the ability to continue to serve as a civilian.
When asked what makes WR unique Virginialynn said,

“I love WR’s culture because there is so much involvement with either Community Involvement Committee (CIC) events or fundraisers for co-workers. We truly do care about each other and it shows.”

As we observe Military Appreciation Month, WR would like to thank Virginialynn and the many veterans like her continuing to selflessly serve our country as civilians in support of the fleet.
